Onell Design Glyos Argen MK X Action FigureSomething old and new - Argen MK X is silver like the early Argen figures, but features a much lighter silver which Onell Design mastermind Matt Doughty has likened to Hasbro's recent Ultron from Marvel Legends. This one has a few extra bits and pieces - it was bundled with a set of Axis Joints, plus there's a new two-part head. One side has a swell robotic visor, while the other has a bit of an ominous, more alien design with a single large black eye. The head itself is what probably caused this figure to sell out in such a hurry, combined with the relative lack of Buildman-based characters like Argen as of late.

Onell Design Glyos Argen MK X Action FigureThis time around the silver being has an incredibly light color to it, with the usual compliment of swirls. You get a complete Buildman, a new head, and a scarf along with some Axis Joints already assembled figure, which ain't bad.

A white tampo on his chest ads a little more character, but depending on your lighting situation the design may blend into the glare on the plastic. In a darker room, it really pops nicely. The black highlights feel a little cliche, but it works - it's a nice contrast to the lighter silver, which itself takes on different hues depending on the room.

Onell Design Glyos Argen MK X Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Argen MK X Action FigureIf you have an Argen figure already, for all intents and purposes, you don't need this one. It's still the same basic figure that you got back in 2010, but the new parts and new color make it compelling enough to shell out yet again. I don't have a complete Argen collection myself, but I've got enough of them where I can safely say that while I normally don't buy new ones, I'm glad I got this one. That new head is really something, and I'm eager to see what else they're going to do with it over the coming months.

A matching glow-in-the-dark Buildman was also sold day and date with this release, but I opted for the silver. Either way, it's a solid figure - I'm enjoying futzing with it. The inclusion of the Axis Joints and new head make a world of difference.
