Onell Design Glyos Gendrone Ultra Corps Mimic Armorvor Action FigureSince its introduction a few years ago, this particular figure has been released in dozens of colors and tends to sell out quickly. Oddly the Gendrone Ultra Corps Mimic Armorvor stuck around for weeks - I'm not sure why, the silver plastic looks pretty fantastic - and for all I know it'd take to dye well, if you're into that sort of thing. It's the same 18-piece figure as always, which means that not only can you swap parts with other releases, but you're also potentially satisfied with the size of your Armorvor collection at this point as we round 20 flavors.

Onell Design Glyos Gendrone Ultra Corps Mimic Armorvor Action FigureThe metallic swirl is pretty nice, and the figure itself is light on paint. You'll notice a few black markings on the arms and knees, the black core, plus some eyes on the heads. The head also has a blue dot, but lacks a painted mouth and due to this particular silver, it could have benefitted from a few panel lines or other highlights. Some of the detail just fades into the swirls, meaning that one of the finest designer action figures ever created is now just sort of acceptable, rather than being on the happy side of awesome.

Designed to match the Ultron figure from Marvel Legends in 2013, the plastic does look pretty swell - it has a lot of personality depending on where he sits and how he's lit.

Onell Design Glyos Gendrone Ultra Corps Mimic Armorvor Action FigureWith crazy reds, oranges, pinks, and other hues the Armorvor has managed to become many of my favorite colors from the crayon box. I loved me some silver, but it feels like it may make a better accent on someone like the Armorvor. I keep envisioning this as sort of an early 1980s figure, and the silver could probably benefit from a little green to give him a circuit board look and feel, because as it is he's sort of bland. An all-clear figure can be "ice" or "cloaked," but what about an Ultron or Silver Surfer figure? I love it for other Onell characters, but less so for the Armorvor. Don't get me wrong - if you don't have any Armorvors, this one is still fantastic, but maybe it's time to try something really new with the deco or to introduce a new head.
