Onell Design Glyos Crayboth Disruptor MK II Action FigureThe Crayboth Disruptor MK II should look familiar - the original Crayboth 2-packs stuck around for a while, with the original Disruptor hitting over 5 years ago. He was a little darker, featured panel lines, and the tip of his "blaster" arm is painted on the new version. This basically makes him a rerun, but the original has been gone for a while and this one is a tad more vibrant.

While the originals did stick around for a while, newer Crayboth figures tend to sell pretty quickly - in hours, if not days, no doubt in part thanks to the low price. Even at the now higher price of $4, it's a cheap thrill with jointed arms and legs. They're fully swappable, and you get the same basic smooth sculpt that you've been enjoying for years. Newer paint masks have been introduced to keep these figures interesting, which I find important because I've got over 50 of the little buggers now. Since they're popular and cheap, I don't expect much of a change in their design soon although a new torso/head or a new alternate arm could make them very interesting at this point. Granted, I'll still buy the old ones as long as they keep cranking out new or interesting colors. After all, we only just got our first opaque orange Crayboth in October of this year. There's still a fair amount of room for new colors here, so a repeat like this is sort of a head-scratcher. I guess it means they can keep going for a while, if nothing else.

Since the figures are fundamentally the same - sized like better-articulated versions of Battle Beasts' little brothers - it's hard to tell anyone to steer clear of them. They're small, cheap, and reasonably fun to collect even though I've got a ton of them. If they cost $6 or $7 I'd have never gotten this many, but for $4 it's hard to say no to any new color in the Onell Design shop. While this version is long since sold out, check their store to see what's available - if you don't yet have one, and are placing an order, buy a couple. They probably won't make your jaw drop, but you'll be impressed and delighted enough by them to wish there were more, similarly sized, and similarly priced collectible mini-figures out there. And thankfully for you, Rise of the Beasts comes pretty close in price. Oh, and if you have Nebula/Neo Nebula Gylos figures this might go well with your shelf of purple toys.
