You've got to go back... to the future! I loves me some Back to the Future. Playmobil continues its assault on dads of the world with Back to the Future, the 1985 retro-future piece that's both a total classic and absolutely dated. There weren't many products shown, and the reps on hand would not confirm if this was all the license would entail or if there would be a year two with a flying DeLorean or a Time Train or additional figures. (I would assume "yes" just because of what happened with Ghostbusters.)

Right now there are two sets. One is 1950s Doc and Marty as a figure set in their "Fish Under the Sea Dance"-night attire. The other is the car - not marked "DMC" - with Doc, Marty, and Einstein in their Twin Pines Mall get-up. These are due early next year at an undisclosed major retailer with rollout elsewhere a quarter later.
Big figures were also on display but I was generally not interested in those. I assume you won't be, either, because the standard size is seemingly excellent.
