And they would've gotten away with it, too! As a kid we all pretty much adored Scooby Doo. Playmobil spans more generations with a cartoon line inspired by the original Scooby Doo... Where Are You? show. I did get confirmation additional sets were coming, including a haunted house - but what we saw on display was surprisingly robust.
Thanks to Playmobil's insane history with over 40 years of castles, houses, cars, shops, and other playsets, I assume this new line will integrate well into any older fan's stash - and kids could probably pick up mail-order Direct Service houses to use with this line. Decades of compatibility could pay off handsomely for this 3-inch German toy line.

The entry-level set of Shaggy, Scooby Doo, and a Ghost is probably your first stop - I was not able to confirm if the ghost can glow or not. The Mystery Machine is the only way to get Fred, Daphne, and Velma - and I assume it's a modified vehicle, but as I write this I am on a train with no working internet connection. It's certainly not like the food truck I bought, but the fold-down seats and ample storage would negate reenacting those off-camera scenes of Fred and Daphne going to make out somewhere. Don't deny it, you know this was happening.
The line-up's crown jewel is a shocker. This amazing, astounding, brilliant thing for collectors are Scooby Doo Mystery Bags featuring many of the most famous villains from the show. The Ghost Clown, Tiki Witch Doctor, Miner, and others give us a series of nothing but monsters with unmasking features - no good guys, no duds in the lot. It should be exciting to see what other licenses they get and if they're big enough to do something like this - I don't believe Back to the Future would be quite as exciting, but who wouldn't want George, Biff, Marty Jr., Mad Dog, and Clara? I'd buy those.
This line should appear first at an undisclosed major US retail partner before rolling out elsewhere in 2020.
