I'm a fan of the design, and while I don't buy all the new versions I had to snag Rykurra Sarvos because the coloring reminded me a bunch of this very site. The paint masks have been changing slightly with each new release, and this time around we see a new painted space on each side of the torso - you can notice more splashes of maroon, plus a slightly different paint job on the head. The "mouth" is painted, but the face isn't.
As prices increase, sometimes so do the contents of the figure - now $10, you get two bonus heads and a scarf in the packet as well as a little more paint. The soles of the shoes are painted, which struck me as quite a surprise. Both Pheyden and Phanost heads feature orange eyes, while Sarvos is all black. The orange eyes match the tampo on Rykurra Sarvos' shoulder.
As usual, the figure is made from 13 pieces. With 3 accessories you get a grand total of 16 parts to reconfigure as you see fit. The parts and pieces use the Glyos system and at this point pop on and off pretty easily, so you won't have any real problem swapping heads or limbs with other figures.
For a sculpt that sees a new colorway every few months for the better part of a decade, this is a pretty great release. We've seen how they're painted change, and it's possible there may be more things to alter as the line continues. For an indie toy line, they did a great job squeezing a lot out of these designs and I hope they come up with some other new ways to paint these heads in the future. Phanost in particular seems ripe for a unique paint mask, so get one of these if the price is right. Or one of the other ones. They're all pretty good.
