Conflicts of interest! By day I work for Bif Bang Pow! and Entertainment Earth, so I'll try not to bore you with too many details. But the good news is they're showing lots of new Venture Bros. retro figures including the Alchemist, Jefferson Twilight, Sgt. Hatred, Pete White, Billy Quizboy, and one of my many personal requests, Shore Leave. No new 3 3/4-inch were shown but the long-gestating Brock Samson was on sale in both bloody and not-bloody varieties. Will they make others? That depends, are you going to buy this one? This sort of thing helps. I've got a massive list of figures I want to see done, and I'm sure you do too.
A lot of new Six Million Dollar Man items were shown including Steve Austin, complete with clear limbs and, in one case, a bad 1970s moustache. You people are so lucky. He'll be joined by other characters from the series and some licensed housewares, which should make things like drinking significantly more exciting.
Numerous items were on sale for Toys R Us, as the company has a partnership with Entertainment Earth. TRU selected numerous items for sale at the show, including the super-popular Zecora from My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic. She sold out every morning within minutes. This, friends, is popularity. Other items including Hasbro Marvel figures were on sale, but there were no Masterpiece Edition Transformers, Star Wars, or He-Man this year.
