Xodiac, The Man from SaturnJust like the Alpha Wave figure, this green version of Xodiac, the Man from Saturn was sold as a convention exclusive and limited to around 300 pieces. While the Alpha Phase one was orange, sold in San Diego, and a huge hit, the Beta version is green, sold in New York, and didn't sell out-- it was actually available for months after the fact through Action Figure Xpress. A limited number of this set (Beta Phase Xodiac, Metamorpho, Astro-Nautilus, and Inferno) were offered through the Four Horsemen's site directly as a pre-order and literally sold through within minutes-- about four minutes, to be exact. Why the drop-off in popularity? Who knows?

Xodiac, The Man from SaturnThe construction is the same as the previous version (this was #2 of 4 repaints so far), merely swapping out the colors to give you orange accessories and green skin. The green is pretty clear, as you can see it's nicely transparent while remaining its 7-Up bottle-like hues. The articulation is the same, and you can swap parts if you're so inclined.

Four Horsemen Xodiac, The Man from Saturn Action FigureSince the prices aren't so bad, if you want to go beyond the standard editions this might be the way to go-- green is a strange color, but hey, it's a strange 3 3/4-inch scale figure. The Onell Designs people are making new figures in their own lines in these colors, so parts-swappers may want to keep an eye out to see what's there if you want to make your own new creations using Xodiac parts.

We skipped showing the mix-and-match features with the Alpha Phase version, so this picture mixes a few elements-- the green Beta Phase figure, the orange Alpha Phase figure, plus a special Glyos-compatible Sucklord head I picked up at San Diego Comic-Con 2010. Neat, hunh?
