She-RaThis is Adora, He-Man's twin sister. Fabulous powers were revealed to her, blah blah blah, and now she's She-Ra. "For the Honor of Grayskull!" This action figure was one of the first Masters of the Universe Classics toys to adapt a Princess of Power doll into the action figure format, although some vestigial elements remain. Like her comb axe weapon/hairstyling tool. She-Ra no longer has rooted hair, but should anyone try to attack her while she is doing said hair, she can cut you.

Like most figures with more than one head in this line, the default head is based on the original toy and not the face you may know best from the cartoons. That's why she has a gold collar and holographic sticker nonsense, and this piece is completely removable revealing a giant hole in her forehead. An alternate head with a tiara modeled after the Filmation animated series is also included, and looks way, way better. I admire Mattel going through the work to include both heads, but it's pretty obvious one is better than the other.

She-RaStanding about the same height as other figures in the line, and may remind you of Teela in a few spots. She-Ra has tons of new parts, specifically her costume, and that doofy mask element. There is a lot of articulation here, and while she can stand on her own the ankles on my sample are a little loose. A display stand may be a good purchase, or a doll stand with a clip to hold her by the waist. Not only can you swap heads, but the cape is removable if you don't like it. Aren't you happy to have so many options?

The Four Horsemen's sculpt is, as always, excellent. Her face has plenty of detail, maintaining some doll-like elements while being a fantastic action figure. This really does look great, and her arms have no problems being posed with her various weapons. It's always a treat when a figure can hold her accessories without too much of a fuss, so I'm particularly happy with this one.

While a nifty figure and a no-brainer purchase for She-Ra fans, this release is about to be made obsolete. A She-Ra 2.0 figure is in production at Mattel because this release was not designed with riding a horse in mind. Mattel is developing Swift Wind, and a new She-Ra is being created to go with it. Sometimes a little foresight goes a long way, and it's nice to see a company other than Hasbro neglecting vehicles and creatures during the figure development process. At least Playmobil and LEGO have nearly perfect track records, right?
