New York's American International Toy Fair September 30 - October 2, 2023 |
Of course there's more! Due to illness I missed my appointment so I zoomed through late (hi Luke, Mariel, and everybody) between other meetings. The Misfits barbarian "Vintage" figures should master your universe soon, but what really knocked my socks off were the oddball keshi figures called "Monster Vomit." It's a keshi figure in slime - granted the price point is higher than the preposterously cheap offerings currently at Walmart and Wendys as I write this, but they're a specialized product with a lower run and not a freebie at a fast food place.

I was also very keen to see the new Super Cyborg figures in person, in part because they're gorgeous. The unpainted gray model for Voltron turned out nice while the Creature from the Black Lagoon Gill Man seemed like an art piece, or a high-end science model of a movie monster. I dare say it seemed too cheap for what you get. The Iron Giant was no slouch either, giving fans of movie creatures a lot to like in the upcoming months.
