Hasbro Transformers Robots in Disguise Tiny Titans Cliffjumper Action FigureI shot this one ages ago, I got this Cliffjumper as a blind-bagged freebie at the New York Toy Fair showroom for Hasbro. It's been on my desk since opening it, as one of those "Hey I better review this" things. The trading card from the figure was a casualty of an unfortunate incident on my desk in late 2016, but the figure survived and was out of the splash zone.

For whatever reason Hasbro got it in their heads that they should use the word "Titan" as much as possible, both for the biggest and the smallest toys. For Robots in Disguise it was applied to their smallest, cheapest releases. Molded in red, Cliffjumper is about the same height as your typical SD card - he's small. He's kneeling and holding some sort of sniper bazooka, sporting one of the most expressive faces you can hope to find. He's squinting and his teeth are clenched, with a generous helping of silver to bring out the detail. No paint was needed for the sculpted Autobot symbol on his shoulder as fate cast it in red.

His feet are huge and his shoulders boxy, giving it a slightly exaggerated appearance. This is great at the small scale, as otherwise little details are hard to make out. Hasbro added black tothe hands and thighs, maximizing the detail while minimizing the cost. The wheel kibble on his back was left undecorated, but you probably won't miss it. His wheels on his feet are also left plain red.

I only picked up a couple of these, the other being Fixit. I think they're great and I kind of wish I bought the entire collection, but I guess I can't get everything. It's starting to feel like the series has wrapped, with under 100 little figures with cards to be had at mostly reasonable prices. It's neat, it's small, and if you collected the entire set you could fit it in a shoebox. It doesn't transform, though, and if it ends now that means the entire cast of the show many never be rendered in this format. It's something I'd suggest pursuing if little rubbery figures are your thing, and if you've got three bucks to blow it's neat to see what Hasbro did here. The quality is there, the price is acceptable, and the only real reason I didn't go get these is because Hasbro was making too many transforming toys - I didn't need one more thing to add to the pile. We've definitely been in "feast" mode, so maybe if things ever dry up I'll go back and pick up more of these. If the price is right, of course.
