Onell Design Glyos Capture Pheyden Action FigureIf there's a reference to Capture Pheyden beyond an early Capture Exellis - a cool robot figure - I don't know what it is. This relatively new figure pays tribute to an older figure, and possibly something else, but I don't know what it is off the top of my head. How's that for a good start? The classic Pheyden mold is, seemingly immortal. This time around the brown figure has orange arms and thighs, with hands and feet in grey and brown. You can really see that some good work went in to the paints here, and at this point that's why you're here. You've got a Pheyden, but for the 15th Pheyden it's gotta be special.

By now, you've probably seen some variation of the 2 3/4-inch figure somewhere on here. He's made of 13 parts, each of which features a peg and/or a socket which fit together to give you a joint and a place to remove a limb. If you want to swap his head with another figure, you can do that. If you want to put arms where legs go, you can do that. It's not always pretty, but at least you've got the option..

Modeled to look like Capture Exellis, the figure has added some color enhancements. The hands and feet have grey and brown which help make certain details pop nicely. There aren't any panel lines, but they did some cool things anyway. The feet have what appear to be light grey soles, but you'll see the bottom of the boots are actually a different color - that brownish grey - to add more contrast. Since they face the floor you'll probably never even notice it, but I appreciate the detail. Similarly, the back of the hands are a lighter grey with fingers decorated in brown.

With 12 points of articulation, this figure looks like something that fell out of the late 1980s. It's a little better, a little more rounded, and definitely a bit more expensive than figures from that era but you knew that. If you have the means to get this Pheyden, hey, why not. I dig the colors, but it doesn't set my eyes on fire like some of the other bright, chipper versions. He's still cool though, and I'm digging it.
