Onell Design Glyos Glyrecon Action FigureGenerally speaking, you can't go wrong with a good mystery figure. The Glyrecon is the Alpha Recon driver from the old Adventure People line, but in Glyos form. You get a cool helmeted head, a Pheyden head, a bird head, and a bunch of armor bits. It didn't sell out opening night, so hopefully you got one if you wanted one.

Onell Design Glyos Glyrecon Action FigureThis is another impressive tribute figure - Onell Design sprang for the extra details. The backside of the original driver was indeed yellow, with some unique markings. While the figure doesn't have them all, there is a gold pattern on the back of the neck and a red stripe along the back. The front of the figure has a Neo Sarvos head painted to look a lot like the original helmet, plus or minus the human head inside. (That element is replicated by the included spare Pheyden head.)

Onell Design Glyos Glyrecon Action FigureThe front of the body is no slouch either. The gold chest tampo recalls the original figure's belt buckle, and the design on the wrists looks similar-but-different to the original figure's markings too. The silver gloves and soles remain, and while the goggles on the helmet are gone, we do have stripes on the "mouth." Like the best designer vinyl figures, Onell Design brought out the figure's best qualities with paint that you couldn't quite do with sculpting.

But wait, there's more! If you decide to armor it up, you can get a clear and white bird warrior of sorts. The clear blue armor looks great over the white plasitc, although the pieces are a very tight fit over the fists. You can make it work, but your patience is required to get it on there. I'll probably keep it in the default configuration, but I appreciate the customization on a mystery figure. If you for some reason don't love the default configuration, at least you've got options.

I'm easy, I love this one! It looks a lot different enough from other figures thanks to the unique helmet, and I love the coloring and logos on this one. If it's still up for grabs, go get yourself one for a distinctive space figure and lament the fact there aren't more awesome vehicles scaled to this line on the market today.
