I picked up U.S. Agent in 2022 when GameStop had some clearances. (They fulfilled from a retail store for a dotcom order - note the shelf wear and price tag rips on the back.)

Wearing the suit? John Walker. This black repaint of Captain America is something you've seen before, and it sells. The traditional red, white, and blue has been swapped with black plastic and a slightly different chest and shield. About ten years ago you could write "as you can see, switching the blue of the American flag to black is a sign that something is going terribly wrong" and now someone will probably send you a nasty message. He's a different, darker take on Cap with a generally more violent way of doing things - as you saw in the comics, or TV show, or presumably movie if this is far enough in the future.
Not-Cap has a shield and basically the same red gloves and boots - it's a less gentle take on the hero and a pretty decent action figure. The black plastic looks great and the white and red pop. The shield lacks a star - because of course it does - and looks like what you'd expect of a figure like this. It's a black repaint, based on comics, and it delivers the goods.
What's funny is as I write these, I look them up on the secondary market. U.S. Agent (and several other Kenner Marvel guys) are now commanding a slight premium on the secondary market, which I thought would be coming a few years down the road. Perhaps the line was small enough and cheap enough that people are scrambling to finish their collections as it wraps up, especially considering that the line as one big thing turned out to be pretty darned good in the end. If you like U.S. Agent, there's no reason to skip this figure... other than a high secondary market price.
