As Masters of the Universe Classics was supposedly winding down - it's still going, of course - we got Prahvus. He's from the 2002 cartoon series, an evil genie/demon warlord and he even comes with a battle mace and magic lamp. His basic form is certainly divined from some of the magical beings you no doubt saw on the teevee and pictures in the 20th century, with unique facial hair and a very large chest that's typical of such things. And the figure? It's just as good as the other ones.
The dark grey buck has some blue markings, a new loincloth, new boots, and a new cape that's installed in a retooled right shoulder. it's quite a nice fit. The head is huge, covered in horns and numerous pointy bits. Between the color, fangs, and pointy ears, he looks significantly different than anything else on my Matty shelves.
Articulation is the same as always minus a shin/boot cut. As far as I can tell, it can't rotate at the shoe - but hey, maybe it can and I'm weak. The arms, torso, and legs are otherwise exactly the same as other figures you've bought which means it's pretty good. He has no problem holding the bronze battle made, but his clawed fingers are not really conducive to carrying the lamp without a fight.
This is another one of those "I barely remember the guy from the cartoon, but it's a nice figure, so buy it if you like it" candidate. Thanks to the 2002 show airing at a point in my life where I wasn't watching the same show 5 days a week after or before school, it never really stuck as much as the Filmation one - but it's a fine show with awesome creatures. This one is decent enough to be worth your while, with minor details like red gems on his belt and only his right hand wearing a fancy glove. It doesn't disappoint but it doesn't impress either.
