Spinjas! The 1980s Tomy game is back, sort of, from Nowstalgic Toys. I had a Parker Brothers US release set when I was a kid and absolutely adored it - when I saw that they slapped Spinjas sponsorship all over the promotional tote bags at Toy Fair, I was pretty jazzed to see what we were getting. The items come in much larger packaging, and come from a different company, and now include app stuff. Such is the way of the future.

As I walked into the booth the first hour of the show, I felt more than a little lack of interest from the crew - I hope this doesn't mean that the product line missed out on getting excited customers. There was no hype to believe, but at least the designs of the various kung fu creatures and some gorgeous life-size display pieces were worth a look. I probably could have pocketed something, or many somethings.
I was told to expect these toys in the summer, so here's hoping they make it out. They're not as efficiently packaged as the originals - check some of them out at Millionaire Playboy - and I'm going to guess this is going to be a "hey, I barely remember that!" toy line for yet another generation. Either that or "Don't you mean Ninjago?"
