It's yellow! The Mordles EGD Vinyl Figure is another jumbo vinyl release - yes, another one - and it really doesn't offer much new other than a creative deco. Which, let me tell you, was enough. I love these jumbo guys and the Pac-Man-esque figure goes great with the clear blue "ghost" Electra-Geists (sold separately). A few years ago I was kicking around a similar idea for Crayboth figures in ghost colors and a Syclodoc with yellow Pac-Man-esque helmet deco... but this is better. It's great, I love it, and I'm glad they did it.
Squeezed out of yellow vinyl, the figure has black eyes, a black inner mouth, plus red claws and fangs. It's a little more evil this way, but "blood-stained" elements make sense given the implication that he's probably going to eat those little tiny blue clear Mordles. It's unfortunate that he can't - but such is life. I assume we'll get a rock, a bug, or a giant Mordle with munching action some day soon.
You know the drill as assembly goes - each foot has a Glyos vinyl plug, so you can swap parts with Armodocs, Syclodocs, Rigs, and the like. Each foot can rotate, but it doesn't really add much to its personality - it's nice, but it may as well be a solid figure. It's plenty stable and looks great on your desk. The glossy finish on the eyes is spectacular, giving it a little extra personality when he could use it the most. I mean, yellow isn't a very exciting color.
As usual, I feel like I got my money's worth here. $15 isn't cheap, but it's not like you can buy a lot of low-run collector vinyl figures for cheap these days. If you missed the others, this is a good one - if you've got the red, glow, and grey ones it may not be worth the effort to grab yet another one. Well, it didn't stop me, but I don't know what your taste in toys is like.
