Make Mine DC! While Marvel is licensing out its wares everywhere, DC seems to be putting more and more emphasis on in-house items at DC Collectibles (formerly DC Direct). Their statue line continues to be a huge hit, with edition sizes at 5,200 and up selling out regularly. 1940s-inspired "Bombshells" feature Harley Quinn, Hawkgirl, Mera, and a "newsie" Lois Lane which just looks fantastic.

Other awesome action figures are being made, but the Batman: The Animated Series line-up is killing me. Killer Croc? Baby Doll? Batgirl? They're taking the old Kenner line and giving us things I never really expected to see as a toy - this is fantastic, and proves that any franchise with a fanbase that can hold out long enough will eventually see some pretty fantastic stuff. The first series due in November includes Batman, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, and Catwoman. Series 2 bows in December with Poison Ivy, Joker, and more - you might not even need to hang on to your old Kenner figures! (But seriously folks, hang on to your old Kenner figures, because as perfect as they are Kennerness is next to godliness.)
