I'm a sucker for glow-in-the-dark toys. When I saw the Kickstarter for Skeleton Warriors included a Glow-in-the-Dark Titan Skeleton, I needed to buy this 5-inch super-articulated figure. Usually I snag the Kickstarter-exclusive versions - which in this case was clear blue - but I went for glow and bone and am glad I did!
This isn't a low-run low-run figure, if you catch my meaning - you can buy it for ten bones (ha-ha) right now. I've paid more for less, or about the same for something less impressive. I loves me some Glyos figures, but I've paid $10 for Outer Space Men that are an inch shorter and don't feature rocker ankles. The Titan Skeleton mold shows you that if someone really wanted to make something on par with Marvel Legends using the Glyos format, they could. Perhaps it wouldn't be cost-effective, but it would be doable. This is a 3 3/4-inch scale figure - meaning he's tall - and just about the right size to menace 4-inch hero figures.
The articulation is the same as the tan version and Baron Dark. You'll get rocker ankles, swivel wrists, ball joint elbows, shoulders, hips, and knees. But you know that - what you care about is "so how does he glow?" He glows great.
The wizards at the Glyos factory seem to have cauldrons boiling over with new and better glow plastic every year or two. If they reissue a figure in glow plastic, the new run glows significantly better than the last batch did - or so it seems, anyway. This one is no exception, being one of the biggest and best glowing figures I've ever had the chance to buy. As someone who has a sub-collection of glowing toys, this is one of the best I've bought in recent memory because it's big, fun, and cheap. Sadly you lose some of the visual detail thanks to the translucent nature of glowing plastic, but that's life.
I bet someone out there can probably create some of the weird combinations from the classic "Skeleton Dance" animated short using these parts and their customization-friendly designs. You'd need more than I have, though, so I'll just have to be content to have the few I've bought to futz with. Do yourself a favor and buy one, I'd personally suggest starting here and going after Baron Dark if you're feeling saucy.
