Are we going to go through all the Lost Kitties? Maybe - at least there's a way to identify them if I do, right? I got a big set with Multipack Tummy Tum, Chomp, Flakes, Flush, and Boops. I'm sure each of these will be special to somebody, but there are things that just click. Cat with taco. Cat in toilet. Cat that may or may not have been meant to invoke Homies. Glitter attack cat. It works.
My "vanilla" pack had two figures - Flakes and Flush. Toilet kitten Flush is quite possibly the happiest toy I've bought in ages, with deranged wide eyes, ears down, and a happy open-mouth smile right out of some manga somewhere. This version is red - there's also a green one as a single - in a toilet with sculpted and painted droplets of water. It's heavier than the rest, seemingly 2-3 pieces of plastic glued together to give you a pretty fantastically goofy cat head popping out of a toilet. It's not much of a toy, but the one on my desk right now is likely to take up residence there for a very long time. It comes with a plunger, because of course it does.
Flake is here in normal sphinx colors, with a green version in the single packs. Due to the pose and expression I'm not sure if Hasbro was merely looking to evoke shame and scorn, or maybe were trying to make a subtle nod to the mega-popular-but-now-forgotten Homes line of mini-figures. Maybe I'm just reading in to this - but the green sweater is too big and has a big snowflake on it. Like all of the figures in this line, it balances just fine and doesn't seem likely to topple over - an amazing feat, really. A ball of yarn is included.
The "chocolate" figure in this box was Chomp, a happy purple taco thief with a bottle of hot sauce. While green in the normal line, it has the same whiskers and stuffed cheeks here. The nose and ears are painted, as are parts on the taco - a nice thing to do, given how most of these things are one color in traditional blind-bag toys or cheap figures.
Called out by name in the jingle, Tummy Tum in the strawberry packet, setting up an easy dirty joke I dare not make. The pink kitten is green as a single figure, and it's held up by the support of a cleverly placed tail. The chicken leg appears to be a separately molded piece, and everything fits together rather well with an excited expression on the feline face. It comes with a giant sandwich, which can mold additional chicken legs out of the "milk."
Finally we've got Boops, the special sparkle figure. Currently exclusive to this set, it's clear blue with green glitter on it - and glitter may flake off if you touch it too much. The diving pose allows it to interact with the included laptop computer or scratching post accessories, which seems silly but totally works in a display. The cat sculpt looks great as a clear figure, with sculpted fluff hanging off the belly to show motion and, presumably, hide the exta pounds. The eyes are big and bright, with painted paw pads joining the ears and nose. Glitter is applied to the exterior, so if it flakes off you'll just have a clear blue cat. Maybe he'll hang around X-Ray Man and X-Ray Woman.
At the very top of the whole thing is a 4-pack of white Play-Doh, each of which with a tiny accessory inside. This set has a butterfly, a retro rocket ship, a fish skeleton, and a slice of pizza. You can make smoke trails behind the rocket out of the Play-Doh, and the fish bone could make a good sculpting tool - the butterfly and pizza are merely charming. And cats love pizza. We had a cat that stole a slice of pizza right out of your hand and ran off with it. They're devious little things.
Look for a little "02" after the date stamp if you want this mix. I would argue that you do want this mix thanks to the weird accessories and bright colors.
