Best licenses in the business! And pretty snappy service-- the NECA booth had some great exclusives and little to no wait at its low-frills cash-only set-up. Speed means a lot at the show, so getting people in, getting them their Gizmo or Predator, and getting them out is of paramount importance. Kudos, sirs.
The licensing parade continues with numerous Gears of War 3 items showing off high-quality sculpts, including some really big prop replicas. Like, huge. As renewable resources go Evil Dead offers a ton of Ash outfits, including S-Mart Ash, Deadite Ash, Hero Ash, and probably a few more in there somewhere. NECA leaves no stone unturned. Also impressive was a nice Predators display stuffed with multiple versions of the monsters and their dogs... but no Adrien Brody or Topher Grace still. Ah well, licensing does not reward the fans of humanity.
An extended Gremlins 2: The New Batch offering is nothing short of delightful-- a cocoon was on display, as was the electric Gremlin, the flasher Gremlin, Mohawk, Spike, and a few others. Nice stuff.
Looking ahead to 2012 was the Valve license with a smattering of items from Portal and their other games. But if you're here, odds are you're in some way wanting to see the Portal flyer boasting a prop replica Portal gun and both resin and plush flavors of the weighted companion cube. No word yet on GLADOS in any of her many robotic or starchy forms.
Music fans can take note of AC-DC and Iggy Pop, the latter of which will be our Figure of the Day really soon!
