The Smattering! I got to take a few quick shots of new Jakks Pacific toys after a meeting. It's-A-Me Mario was an impressive larger action figure, with tons of articulation and sound activation switches all over the toy. You can hear block punches, koopa shell kicks, invincible music, and more - plus a ton of voice clips from the games circa Mario 64. Assuming that everything gets produced on time, this is the figure you're going to wish you had this holiday season.

Some other shots include Sonic the Hedgehog including classic, modern, and movie toys. It was fun to hear the developers talk about how the movie toys looked like a strange gamble, but thanks to the outcry of love-based-hate for the new movie's design they just had to build it and plan for the very best - and as of Toy Fair, were out of stock of dang near everything.
Other highlights include The Last Kids on Earth action figures - loaded with monsters - and some Gigantosaurus toys. What's funny is that most of where I do my stuff is in Hasbro, Mattel, and things that just happen to have a large adult following. It was a blast to see new kid lines, made with kids in mind, and no adult targeting. After all, that's where we all came in to this hobby - it's nice to see a few action figures made for the kids. Also there were some other not kid-specified items that I can't talk about, so stay tuned, Jakks Pacific may well be surprising you with some top-notch things I won't allude to anymore.
No, it's not Metroid. (I asked.)
