If shiny does it for you, the 2.0 edition of Astro-Nautilus is worth your while. The staff is more vibrant and bluer than blue, while the figure itself has slightly purple-r skin and a shiny coating to his bronze space suit.
The figure keeps the exact same construction as before, with 4 arms jointed at 2 places on each tentacle. It's a great-looking, if top-heavy figure and probably one of two Outer Space Men likely to topple over if not balanced correctly. The head's pretty big, so be sure to set it up so if gravity does get to the best of him, he won't steamroll over your shelves. I've made this mistake before.
This figure was one of the reasons I got into this line in the first place, and with so many colors available it's a shame one of the releases had to be like the main painted deco, but just a little bit different. I don't think I'd ever notice the changes to the staff or the glossy coating on the body were I not writing this site to take pictures for you to read about, so let's just say this: check out the pictures below, and then read the Astro-Nautilus 1.0 review for the breakdown on what this thing is.
It's neat. I wouldn't say it's a worthwhile upgrade, but if you don't have either version of the purple skin/bronze suit Astro-Nautilus, the 2.0 version is like a solid 8% better than the 1.0 release. It was also $12.50 instead of $10.00, sold as part of a set. I would suggest getting the set if you're a super-fan of the line, because the 2.0 Inferno is arguably worth the price of entry.
