Here's a fun fact. In 1996, a Star Wars comic book had a character called "Spiker" who is very similarly colored and styled with Masters of the Universe's Spikor. The sci-fi character was a blue-skinned, armored biker while the Eternian villain has a very spiky head with armor and a pitchfork arm of sorts.
An update of one of the later figures, the original Spikor's action feature was meddled with here and recreated using swappable, removable pieces. You can pop the weapon off his arm and replace it with a standard hand, or a longer silver "arm" pitchfork for a little variety.
The head is nice and mean, expressive and purple. He has a sour expression and bright white fangs, plus yellow eyes which look really great. They did a great job replicating the old "hollow head" look with sturdier materials. To add some color to the outfit, metallic gold on the armor helps the outfit "pop" a bit. Other than that, the figure is built off a more or less standard MOTUC buck with unique bracelets.
Rounding out the set is a big orange club.
As with many figures in the line, it's a worthy update to the original. I realize this is pretty short, but by now you know what to expect. The paint seems pretty clean and mine is devoid of chipping as far as I can see, with fuzzy briefs and classic boots as you might hope for. The character isn't necessarily the best-known in the storyline, but as a fan of Skeletor's thugs, this is a pretty good one. The fact that Star Wars borrowed from or was inspired by the design is an added bonus. I can't help that the figure would have benefitted from a little something extra, a bonus of some sort, but it's still neat enough for the original asking price. (At the price increased $27 standard 2013 price point, though, I can't say I'd be as giddy. But $22, sure, buy two.)
