The Glyos toy lines have a few - very few - vehicles, and some of them are pretty amazing. I couldn't say no to the Warp Bike Firespray, especially after missing the glow one and some other colors. A new vehicle? For Glyos? In Kenner Boba Fett colors? How could I not pick this up? It's three chunks of vinyl, some of which (not the big front end) were later used by Onell Design for their vehicles. According to my research (checking a Wiki) this was the third and final release of the mold. I hope they do more some day.
It's big, but balances well - your Callgrim figure can fit over it, but it's a tight fit. You might have more luck with customized hips or figures with generally wider stances, but it works, and he slides on without too much fuss. Just a little fuss.
The chunky craft has big pieces and welcoming, glossy colors. The shine on the yellow and red are intense, while the green looks good too. There are lots of fun details, like the now-scarce Glyos Panel lines, a yellow monitor in the controls, a painted seat, and lots of unique bits and bobs you would have loved to pretend performed a specific sci-fi function if you got this as a kid. (But you didn't.) It looks like something you wish Kenner would have made for your old Star Wars toys, and even though I'm over bike-shaped vehicles I really do like this. The big face-like front makes a huge difference in giving it some real personality.
The only sample I've seen on eBay lately was expensive and didn't sell - and I feel like there's still demand for this kind of thing in the Glyos world. A vehicle is a tougher sell than a figure, and vinyl has been mostly out of production for years, but I can't deny this looks like a swell retro toy. I also shot it several years ago and never posted it... so my apologies for that. At least it's not like you missed me telling you about how cool it is before another one dropped, as this was seemingly the end of the road for the mold. If fate doles out another Warp Bike, and you like Glyos, be sure to pick it up.
