Not Gnaw, this Sharkticon is a single generic troop builder that has a unique deco you can only get in this set right now. Presumably Hasbro will do another, bigger one at some point, but for now, you can get this one. And only one of it. Unless someone kicks off another eBay business out of Vietnam selling barrels of these things. Titans Return Gnaw [FOTD #1,575] was a pretty nifty figure a few years ago, and the demand for them was never quite filled. So here's one more.
He's short, and while I'm never completely sure what correct "cartoon scale" is for these guys, the set seems all over the map.
The sculpting is as good as it was, with tooling that still seems sturdy for the third bite of the colorway apple. He's very similar, but more metallic with a few significant tweaks. The 2016 colorway was probably more accurate, with the Japanese release being more accurate, but this one is different. Blue teeth! Why? I don't know! Blue arms! Why? No idea. The metallic purple paint looks really nice, but I don't know what this gives you that might make you say "oh, thank goodness they made that decision." It's not bad - just different.
Transformation is still simple, with the feet becoming the top of the head and body, while the torso is the lower body. The head isn't quite as colorful, but the beast mode's mouth still has pegs and seating for one Titans Return-scaled Titan Master. One isn't included, but you probably have a few - and if you don't, they're getting some reissues at Walmart next year.
If you only want one Sharkticon, this is as good of a take on the design as any. Army-building is prohibitive, but if you need a "captain" Sharkticon or something, he may fit in nicely. The 5mm post on the mace fits in his hands nicely, and he's a menacing little critter. I like it - but I certainly didn't need it. Thematically it's a perfect fit in the boxed set and a great insta-collection if you're wanting to build out the relatively under-represented Quintesson faction. The Sharkticon even has a Decepticon logo on it, despite it technically not being a Decepticon.
