Overview
Generation One Convoy + DVD is a repaint of Generation One Convoy from Robot Masters, except his color scheme is a little closer to the G1 toy than the previous model. He sports Cybertron logos on both shoulders, although the sculpt of the toy is unchanged, the right shoulder is merely painted while the left is sculpted. Also, the light-up eye gimmick was dropped for this release in favor of very G1-esque yellow eyes, once again just like the toy.
This toy was released at the same time as the anime style Convoy, and will be repainted one more time as in black for a Japanese toy magazine.
As far as accessories go, Generation One Convoy + DVD has quite a few. For starters, the DVD has a number of comics, ads, and other extras sure to delight anyone with the means to play Japanese DVDs. He includes a black repaint of the Convoy rifle, a orange Energon Axe, and two missile-firing weapon launchers in addition to two sets of hands.
Packaging
This toy came packaged in regular Robot Masters packaging, which is fairly intricate. Inside a box, there's a three-piece plastic tray to hold the figure in place, which is surprisingly extensive for a small toy. Best of all, there's no twist ties!
Like all Robot Masters, the set includes Generation One-styled TransFormers logos as well as faction symbols similar to that era.
