Because the blind bags were pennies on the dollar on one of my rare toy benders, Ray Stantz is a thing I now own. I just grabbed a few bags for a couple of dollars, which is probably the best cheap thrill I've had in some time. The deformed figure has one point of articulation, a glowing ghost arm band, and a face that's kind of like Nixon.
Able to stand easily, Ray has foot peg holes and probably won't ever actually make use of them. His proton pack is stuck to the back, complete with wand pointing skyward. The sculpt is decent, but the paint is a little packing - the body is mostly unpainted save for gloves and boots, meaning the belts and elbow pads are undecorated. You probably won't notice. The eyes are looking off to the side, and apparently it varies by figure. A quick Google search showed Rays looking to the left, lazy eyed, or looking straight ahead. As such, it's sloppy. The Ecto gear is all black, so the various bright lights and cables are left completely undecorated. I assume at this size, you won't miss it either.
For the glow requirement, the no-ghost on his shoulder lights up nicely. The glow paint is a little sloppy, but in regular light it looks perfect. An extra coat of glow has been applied thinly and you'll notice it's a little outside the lines in a dark room. I don't mind a little extra glow in the dark - it doesn't have to be perfect to be fun and amusing.
When priced similarly to trading cards - or under - I like most blind bag figures. The treat is getting it, looking it over, and then getting bored with it in 30 minutes, never to see it again. I shot this dude months ago and am only just now getting around to reviewing it. If you see these blind bags on clearance at Walmart, I can't strongly recommend them enough. It glows, it's cheap, it's goofy. I'd have preferred the Ghost versions, but one doesn't always get what one wants. It's still decent enough for three bucks, but for less than a buck? Fantastic.
