Guardians of the Galaxy! Few figures from this comic book have been produced, and those that have are pretty easy to find. They're the pegwarmers, minus the build-a-figure of Rocket Raccoon on shelves now. The Guardians gift set in 3 3/4-inch or Drax in Marvel Legends are quite findable, but if that doesn't float your boat an entire suite of 6-inch and 2 1/2-inch figures are coming from Hasbro to promote the movie line. There will be no 3 3/4-inch figures... but there will be smaller vehicles, if you like StarCom.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends include comic versions of Iron Man (yes, again) plus Nova alongside movie characters Rocket Raccoon, Drax, Star-Lord (with unmasked alternate Peter Quill head), and Gamora. Each has a build-a-figure chunk of Groot and the flick is brimming with talent. Early production sizzles shown at various events were pretty fantastic looking, which hopefully means that this August release will click with more than the usual cult movie and creature feature fanbase out and about in the late summer.
A large suite of mini figures are about 2 1/2-inches each with a sprue of weapons. Each is expected to be about US $10. They'll be joined by vehicles, plus a nice spread of roleplay toys and larger figures. Unsurprisingly Peter Quill/Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon make up the bulk of the toy inspiration with masks, oversized figures, and other junk. Look at it this way - even if the movie tanks, which I hope it doesn't, you'll walk away with your very own Chris Pratt action figure.
