Duplo! I admit, I didn't think I'd care - after all, I don't have kids, nor do I do baby toys. Duplo got real interesting due to its expansion to include licensed characters, which are here because of mom and dad as much as baby. In addition to the usual farmers and fire engines and whatnot, Batman and Disney Princess are also on deck for 2014. Catwoman and Joker are iconic characters of American culture, and part of one of our richest exports to the world. At the same time, here's a quasi-dominatrix and masked clown serial killer for your toddlers. Enjoy!

Peter Pan, Superman, Cinderella, and more are on deck - with hopefully more coming. My camera didn't detect toddler-favorite and mom's most beloved superhero Spider-Man, but I have to assume he's coming sooner or later for Duplo. He's a popular character over in Hasbro's Playskool division, so I can only assume it's a matter of time before he ends up here - heck, Star Wars too! (Now that, I'd buy.)
