Sold out! This Wonder Woman brings you Diana Prince for the completely charming film. Outfitted in World War I-era garb in London, the glasses were there to crank down her ability to stand out, supposedly, but glasses look good on most people and I have to assume Gal Godot could fight evil in a Barney the Dinosaur costume and somehow still come off looking regal. The figure downplays some of the character's more expressive features, but the pose is combat-ready with a scarce feature - an actual removable optional accessory!

This 3 3/4-inch-ish scale figure has a jointed head and nicely painted shield that clamps on her left wrist. You can make out her power bands - the Bracelets of Submission - under the sleeves of her coat. Er, dress. Whatever it is, it looks really cool and Funko captured several layers of clothing on a tiny figure where you probably wouldn't even notice, but Funko also paints black soles and light brown laces on her dark brown shoes. They like detail. The packaging shows blush more pronounced than the figure but it's not like you're going to miss it - the expressive eyes with lashes and the big glasses with clear lenses would block them, anyway. Also, she has a swell hat. It's not removable, but it's cool.

The dress manages to look great, but what really surprised me was the hair. Most figures sport simple locks, but the design on the back of her head is surprisingly ornate with several interlocking strands to form a bun. I think. I don't know hair terminology so well, as I go to the barber and say "give me the shaved lamb look." The brown color is evenly applied to the flesh plastic head, giving you one of the better figures we've looked at here from this line - and yeah, there have been a lot of good ones lately.

My sample could stand freely without the clear display stand, but a nudge or a bump could probably change that real quick - so I'm glad it's here. This figure pre-sold out at Entertainment Earth (where I work, full disclosure.) It's an exquisite figure of Diana's alter ego, who in the future/present of the movie series running now lives as an curator of antiquities at a museum, no doubt in an effort to make her the single most likable superhero since Hit Girl. Putting a superhero in glasses and a Mary Poppins costume made for a great figure, bringing something mundane and adorable out of a string of colorful and/or dangerous situations. It's the kind of thing that makes me want to have a whole wall of "secret identity" superhero toys, although vaguely Greek-descended warrior goddess in sensible shoes and glasses will be a tough one to top. There's no way Bruce Wayne can pull off that look.
