The clear Buffam Burst is another great figure you ignored. Cast in a clear cola-color plastic for the skin and a dark green for the armor, there's precious little paint here. I see golden eyes, and some pigment on the dice - other than that, it's molded in color. These came out five years ago and I still love the dual-color injection molded plastic, as this is a kind of design choice I don't see much outside of Playmobil. The figure has 3mm fists, so he can probably share parts with Playmobil and LEGO depending on the tolerances.
The soda-like Buffam Burst has 4 joints and stands 3-inches tall. The clear brown/black looks good for the furry parts, and the crystal dark green armor is fantastic. It looks kind of like a very dark Coke bottle Takara-Tomy went the extra mile by casting the septum ring in green, giving it an added level of production quality I didn't expect to see on a cheap blind-box game figure for children.
The toy's gimmick is a dice launcher in the chest - it's removable so all the figures share tooling. There's a prism so light reflects into the clear chance cubes, giving the figure a little more life. It shoots a decent It lights up the clear dice due to a prism in the plunger, which has a sticker on the back that matches the character side on the die.
With jointed arms and legs, it's a decent and big figure with cool spike shoulders, big green horns, and a nifty spear to go with his shield. I can't complain about the hooves on the armor and clear nature of the figure, especially now that the line has ended. I find myself wishing this toy line could have gone global, but there's definitely a wall in some countries. If you feel so inclined, get yourself one - it's good. It has some nice heft and articulation for the asking price at the time of release, and if you can score one for less than that you owe yourself a few of these figures.
