Who needs a clear Frog? Odds are you do! Guarl Burst has something that's rare in this line, with clear white/frosted plastic rather than the usual icy clear colorless variety. The head, fists, arms, and thighs are molded in green, and the only paint on the whole figure are his golden eyes. There's also a fully painted version of Guarl with different accessories.
As with his brothers, Guarl Burst has 4 joints. You can move her shoulders and hips, plus there's a dice launcher. My sample is quite loose, as the die will start to slide out a few millimeters if you tip him forward. It won't slide out, and it doesn't affect the launching process, but it is a smidgen looser.
The painted figure is incredibly ornate, with extra detail and some subtle fading, plus extra paint on his head. You can smell it. The Burst version, being largely unpainted, looks a lot more like a vintage 1980s toy. It looks cheaper, and frankly, is cheaper. Or should be, the price isn't a lot lower but it certainly looks cool. The clear crystal armor is something I hope we see other toy lines ape.
I sincerely doubt any of you will be buying this and at this rate it appears it will not be coming to North America. It's a nifty looking figure and very pretty under the right lighting conditions, although this kind of toy suffers from being a toy meant for kids in a line meant for youngsters. If this were sold in a gallery for $20 or were a low-run figure sold only to collectors with few or no changes, you'd be tripping over yourself to shell out for it. Heck, maybe you'll do just that in a few years. Go ahead and get it while it's cheap, I bet you'll like it. It's another one of my favorite "clear" figures in this line.
