As part of the third (of seemingly at least 5) series of clear figures, Ogre Burst brings us another bright orange burning lion. So you can get the male, or the female. Interestingly, the colors and armor styles are similar so it's obvious one is related in some way to the other.
Rendered in a clear, rubber plastic Ogre Burst has 4 joints. You can move her shoulders and hips, plus there's a dice launcher. Mine is fairly good, but other figures in this assortment are starting to feel a little looser, and the die may slide out a little on its own.
The only paint in this figure is its golden eyes and the dice. Everything else is molded in color, like her red crown and orange fur. The design of these guys is really quite clever in how they minimize the need for paint, but the non-translucent figures seem to not take advantage of this as much as they could. They could probably churn out some really cheap figures if they applied the same kind of deco to opaque figures, so I guess we should be happy they didn't go that route.
Her weapons are reused from previous waves, having been packaged with turtles, dolphins, and other creatures in the past. (The single-carded painted Ogre comes with completely different accessories.) She's neat, mostly as a matching figure to the previously-released lion figures. Not bad. Not exciting, but certainly not bad.
