When I first had a chance to hold the Scavenger Vehicle from Blokees, I immediately clocked some little sockets that seemed to indicate hooks for future plans - and I was not disappointed. The construction vehicle also can be Devastator's shoulder - that's pretty awesome! The other green vehicles were sold in the first three waves of these guys, with a torso kit sold separately for a few bucks. You might have to buy three whole cases, but you get a nice and fairly big figure out of it.
Scavenger has a jointed shovel arm, wheels that don't spin due to the hard plastic treads, and a joint so it can pivot. All of this serves the bigger combiner robot too. It's molded in color except for extensive decoration on the front bumper and window, plus some silver on the treads. I think it looks great, and if this were a vehicle that existed solely for its own sake? I'd say it's worth the three bucks. It's squat and has just enough detail and texture that it doesn't fall flat. You may have other Devastator toys, but this is a pretty good one if you don't. These things technically can't transform, but being able to mash together vehicles into a big guy is an interesting licensing workaround.
The little drill is a nice extra, a nod to a chrome projectile you could launch out of the spring-loaded purple forearm back in 1984. This one is merely decorative. It's black, and its peg fits in a socket nicely. I wouldn't miss it had it been left out, but I appreciate the added personality it offers the vehicle.
It looks cool, it's cheap, and it looks great as part of a larger collection. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it in and of itself, but as part of the set? It's great and adds variety to a line of excellent little robots. The plastic feels good and hopefully these will hold up to time. They're cheap enough that I'd just recommend you buy the whole case, as the vehicles usually offer something interesting and the little robot figures are all pretty great. I haven't seen these in stores yet, but you can get them online for around $3 a pop.
