This tiny BW-Galvatron is both exciting, but I'm kind of surprised he wasn't one of the chase figures. This toy is in sort of a bubblegum pink plastic, to match the anime. The original toy was purple. Also, the original toy had a massive non-removable drill backpack (but removable wings) while the Blokees figure has wings, but no drill. I know budgets are a thing, but I wouldn't have minded a chase ultimate toy version with the dragon arms and drill, plus the second axe rocket. Such is life!
A new version of the big guy is due to be made for the Japanese market (and importers) shortly, and this little guy more closely matches that design with its gritted teeth, the pink body, and of course the lack of a shimmering golden orb in the chest. When it comes to the best Beast Wars II Galvatron I still love the original, but don't dare transform it again. This little guy is fun to pose, though.

The articulation for this 2 1/4-inch-ish tall figure is the same as the rest. You'll love the ball-jointed body, because everything - even the wrists - have a bit more range on them. It's really good for the size, and good for customizers. The figure does reuse some parts, but the shins, chest, wings, shoulders, and head are all new. The axe is also unique to this figure, and fits in his hand. It doesn't have any rocket launchers on the arms. At this size, that could be fragile.
Deco is pretty extensive, with a red printed crest, white teeth, a purple eyes, gold and red and black detail on the shins, blue chest, plus some gold and red highlights on the torso. Team Blokees did a nice job. Unfortunately, the design hides most vestiges of any sort of creature mode. We've got wings, and little else - the original Takara toy tucked the dragon's head in a drill. The gold dragon feet were visible, but they're largely absorbed in the Blokees' figure shins. If you didn't know the character, and most people don't, you might just assume it's a cool purple robot. And indeed it is.
This was easy to put together and has a nice silhouette thanks to the big shins, wings, and larger helmet. I'm happy to have this one around, but one downside is that it's fun enough that it reminded me that maybe I don't need to buy the new Takara-Tomy version. The big expensive release is not bad. It's just that this little guy, and my original one, are both quite nice and I don't need a wall of Galvatrons. It's a satisfying block figure in a fun wave. I'd recommend picking up the wave, it has a lot of fun winners in it.
