Since debuting at Comic-Con last year with a small amount of DC Universe product, the Pop! Vinyl line has exploded. It's in Target, it's in record stores, and (unbeknownst to me until just now) it's even in the Disney stores-- a dozen figures are sold there more or less exclusively right now with another dozen in the works. This means classic characters, quasi-Disney favorites like Jack Skellington, and of course Bob Parr (better known as Mr. Incredible) from Pixar's The Incredibles is also up for grabs. At only 480 pieces, this should be on the "must buy" list for most Pixar fans. You know, if you have any taste.
The 4-inch figure has an articulated head and while he lacks the long, strong chin of the movie design he does retain the mask, nose, and "classic" Mr. Incredible outfit in blue and black. The store version should be red and black, consistent with the rest of the family and his own "new" uniform from later in the film. This hobo suit sports the distinctive curl of blonde hair and the big red dot over the "I" on his chest, and he has an exquisitely-sculpted nose. Most figures in this line drop the noses, you'll note that his box art lacks this feature.
The figure itself is as good as the others, it stands on its own just fine and looks great. This one does have a slight oddity which may be specific to my sample but there's a definite rattle inside its head. I'm going to guess it's a fluke as everything seems to be in order and nothing appears broken, but I guess this kind of thing happens on a toy all the time.
From my own findings you can't get Mr. Incredible at a Disney Store right now-- not even the normal one-- but it should be showing up soon if it hasn't already. They're under $13 there, but obviously, this version is exclusive to Comic-Con (or whoever buys whatever leftover stock Funko might have had.) The company sold numerous flocked, metallic, and other repaints of its various figures but this one struck me as the best of the best at their extensive booth this year. Seriously, they had like 40 dang exclusives in various sizes and colors. At this time no other Incredibles figures have been confirmed, but it's a safe bet that they'll get to Elastigirl and the rest eventually.
