The game Portal 2 came out years ago, but Funko's Chell is relatively new! As always the 3 3/4-inch figure has a jointed neck. This one is special in that she has a companion cube accessory as well as a display stand, a common addition to women figures with skinny legs from Funko.

If you've played the game, this figure looks a lot like a stylized version of its mute hero. The folded-down speed suit is there, as is the portal gun and the specially designed boots to prevent ankle shattering. She has an Aperture logo on her shirt and some fine detailing on her portal blaster. The ponytail is there, as are detailed elements on her boots and some things like bracelets and and rivets.

Valve is notoriously meticulous when it comes to product approvals, with some items never even making it out. The fact that I have this in my hand is a seal of approval unto itself. Funko's products are often painted well, with this being one of the better ones with the eyes being where they should be and numerous clean paint applications. There are some strange flash marks on the arms which makes them look a little off, but this is still a mass-produced plastic figure for collectors. It could be a little cleaner, but it's on point for the price these days.

While a pretty late release for a dormant game series, I'm happy this came out - especially since it includes a weighted companion cube. The hearts are mostly very clean, as are the other paint applications. It sits there nicely - so don't lose it. Separate accessories are a scarce thing in Funko's product offering, making this figure a slightly more-than-complete package. You might be good on Portal toys now as you're waiting for the next game, but if you still need more from the last title this is a good one. Perhaps a GLaDOS is next.
