The town drunk in all his glory, Barney is, if nothing else, an interesting excercise in what can be done with an action figure.
Barney comes with two accessories (a sandwich and a beer mug) and has four points of articulation.
While he is unable to replicate his usual posture seated at a bar stool, the dishelved, burping visage of the character comes through in what is probably one of a very elite class of drunk action figures (the majority of the others being some new form of Iron Man.) His rippling, mid-belch lips are a little odd to look at, but then again, most action figures are. He looks pretty much as one might expect, but there's a definite flaw in that the sleeves of his shirt are painted in a different shade than the rest of his shirt is molded. So it looks like there's some discoloration there.
The sandwich and beer mug work, and there's really no new ground broken other than that both turned out quite well. For fans of the character, this is one great figure.
