Nince but not too nice, the Talking Family Car shows that just because vehicles aren't a big seller these days doesn't mean that a company should try and make them extra-good.
The Talking Family Car comes with absolutely no accessories, instructions, or anything beyond the vehicle with the non-removable figures. Homer, Lisa, Maggie, Marge, and Bart each act as sound activators, as does the car's hood. Santa's Little Helper just sits there.
The playset is pretty much what you'd expect-- a pink car with some damaged bits. There are some special features, and some things that seem like they're missing-- like "glass" for the windows-- but the lowdown on those exists in our review. In brief, it's a very adequate toy.
There are just as many positive aspects to this set as negative ones. While it's scaled down from the figure size, the cost is also reasonably low. While there isn't a way to bring in additional sounds, what was included turned out rather well.
