This century's Dennis the Menace was released to stores in droves, bringing the third Bart Simpson action figure to market in early 2000.
Bart comes with four accessories (skateboard, Santa's Little Helper, spray paint, a slingshot) and has four movable joints.
The sculpt of the figure is not at all bad. The arms seem a little long, but if they were any shorter, it'd look odd. The head turned out well, with a smirk that turned out particularly well. His legs-- or leg, rather-- are joined in one piece, probably to insure the voice chip could be placed safely. There's nothing particularly bad about the figure, so anybody wanting a graven image of Bart for their desks or shelves would be doing themselves a service by picking this one up.
Bart's accessories turned out well. Santa's Little Helper shows a reasonable amount of detail, and the rest of the accessories were nothing to complain about. While parts of the slingshot would've looked nicer as string or elastic, the figure pretty much works as is, and it has the added bonus of a painted Santa's Little Helper. That little detail makes this package a lot better than it may have otherwise been, especially when looking back on the days where Playmates' accessories were always in only one color.
