A figure which brings no real surprises, Sunday Best Homer turned out as a fairly good, badly selling figure.
Homer comes with three accessories ("good book," a foam hand, a radio) and has four points of articulation.
Homer sports a different head sculpt than previous versions of the character and with the exception of one accessory, is a totally new figure. The sculpt is good, the figure is colorful, and yes, the giant foam hand actually fits well. While there's not all that much one can do with a suited up Homer, the figure still looks good enough to warrant a purchase since it's sculpted nicely and looks cartoonish in that good way. Even though the head was reused later, this particular one is notable because the hair on the top of his head is particularly pronounced, sculpted higher and larger than on any other version of the figure we've seen so far. The hair is best viewed on our image showcasing the back of the figure.
While two of the three accessories don't seem to work with the outfit, they all turned out pretty well. The "good book" is the same one packaged with Flanders, and more or less makes sense given the outfit. "Sunday Best" isn't a phrase one associates with a giant foam hand or a large radio, but Homer can carry the accessories just fine-- the glove fits, and looks great.
