The first exclusive offered in The Playmates Simpsons line, Glow In The Dark Radioactive Homer Simpson (Toyfare) delivers a neat, if low budget, new figure.
Homer comes with three accessories (plate of glowing donuts, glowing tongs with rod, hood) and has four points of articulation.
While nothing more than a revised version of the Radioactive Homer that comes with the Power Plant playset, this figure has one thing going for it its predecessor didn't. Namely, it glows in the dark. (That's like six cool points right there.) The face is expressive, the accessories are appropriate, and it's an overall nice figure. But if you have the first one, you don't need this one.
The accessories aren't at all bad. The tongs are a little weak, the hood makes for a nice touch and fits well, and the plate of radioactive donuts is just class embodied in plastic. The fact that they glow really makes the big difference here.
This figure is said to be made in a quantity near 10,000 pieces and it was originally offered in ToyFare #37.
