A nice little snapshot of everything Christmas and The Simpsons, The Simpsons Family Christmas Giftset is a bunch of toy in a nicely sized box.
The Simpsons Family Christmas Giftset comes with five talking figures and a piano.
The playset is just plain great. It's an extension of the existing Living Room with a tree and a piano, with Patty and Selma looking annoyed in the background. There's a rug, and well, that's about it. It's light, but it's nice.
Unlike previous Toys "R" Us sets, this one seems to be the right product at the right price. It's not a bargain, but there are five figures and a playset at a price of $39.99, which on paper seems about right. The figures are mostly nice, and of course we have separate pages for each of them. The playset itself isn't much to speak of, but well, it's a playset and is therefore quite nice.
The sounds from this set are, well, unusual. There's some great quotes, but some are sped up or slowed down just enough to make it noticable, making the voices sound, well, bad. But that's not why we buy these things, now is it?

16bit.com would also like to note that none of the Family Christmas figures have any copyright information on them, but the playset does. With the exception of Bart (The Fly), none of the Toys "R" Us exclusive figures to date (TOH1, TOH2, Xmas) have copyright info on them.
