As Springfield's resident supervillain, Mr. Burns was high on fans' request lists for quite some time, and his first incarnation as an action figure doesn't disappoint.
Mr. Burns comes with three accessories-- Blinky the three-eyed fish and two bundles of money-- and is posable in four places.
The sculpt of the figure is fantastic. The head's toothy grin, the raised liver spots, and shifty expression result in what is sure to be a fan favorite from now until the series becomes unprofitable. The hunchbacked pose is an added bonus, however, this may lead to the figure becoming a little front-heavy and on some occasions toppling over. (Your milage may vary.) The figure itself is great, and the accessories tend only to clutter its look.
The design of his plastic accessories show a lot of care went into them and did not show up on the final product. For instance, on a bundle of money, there are a few sculpted details which were highlighted by a darker green paint. There are also additional details which are particularly difficult to make out that were not highlighted... it's not a big deal, but it's interesting to note. Blinky, on the other hand, is encased in a blue-hued transparent fishbowl, and he's stuck in there. A shame, but still, a Blinky beats no Blinky.
If you're a fan of the character, buy the figure. It's roughly $5 well spent.
