Four Horsemen Gothtropolis - Action Figures February 10, 2012
He's an Egyptian! They're selling you. In addition to gobs of amazing design work for Mattel, McFarlane Toys, and others, the Four Horsemen also have their own in-house properties like Gothtropolis, a vaguely Egyptian line based on the ancient art and culture. Not content to make just one figure, the Horsemen designed a body which was reused with different heads and accessories, giving you the equivalent of a jazz concert of "The Aristocrats" in action figure form. You can see from one figure to the next, how the creators said "OK, this is good, but he's how it should be" and it's obvious that you've to a lot of creative people constantly striving to outdo one another.
At the bottom is a Cardinal figure and I did not see a label indicating where all he was going, so I stuck him here for now. Apologies if he belongs elsewhere, but it's 1 AM, and I walked a long way to the gallery and back and gotta be up to help set up the Bif Bang Pow! booth in the morning. So for now, enjoy these pictures-- more Four Horsemen galleries are coming as soon as I can pull it off!
