DC Direct at New York's American International Toy Fair February 12, 2012
It's bat-tastic! With The Dark Knight Rises, it only makes sense that DC Direct will be focusing heavily on Batman this year. With characters from the new movie as well as the video games, there's a pretty big chunk of new product to peruse. The emphasis wasn't really on classic stuff, but there are more black-and-white statues plus other ongoing figure programs in other brands which should prove fun.
The company will not produce more Starcraft items beyond what was shown-- so if you want 'em, better get 'em early. After the non-starter that was Mass Effect, gamers may want to pick up things early so as not to miss out. A strong new Watchmen program of statues and possibly more will start, to support the new comics being published in the very near future.
The MAD license continues with more Spy vs. Spy and Alfred E. Neuman "Just Us League" figures, including The Joker and an amazingly low-rent Wonder Woman costume made up mostly of garbage. It's awesome. Take a look at everything!
