Licenses a-plenty! While you won't find their stuff in every store, NECA is exceptional at picking out the best licenses these days. Seriously, look at their showroom. In addition to classic popular properties like HeroClix, Gremlins, Predator, and BioShock, they're also cranking out Insane Clown Posse, Rocky, Portal, The Hunger Games, and Avengers. It's insane. I mean, if you want a full-size Gremlins Puppet Replica, you're going to be able to get one.
While many of the items have been seen thanks to Europe's many toy shows, it's worth pointing out that E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is getting a full 30th Anniversary line this year, with some of the best-looking stuff ever. I know that's not saying much given previous entries, but seriously, it's better than what we got the last few times. In person, the Rocky figures are astonishing-- Clubber Lang and the rest of the figures have a different kind of plastic which has an eerie realistic quality, giving the outer layer of skin an effect which allows a little bit of light to pass through it. I don't know how (or if) this will be seen on the final product, but these could be some of the most disturbingly realistic figures ever. I mean, have you ever seen a Rocky figure that just took a punch and has spit flying out of his mouth before? It's in the gallery below, so be sure to check it out. I don't care if you haven't seen or don't like Rocky, this is some amazing stuff.
