UPDATE: More pictures added February 24, 2012. Carded close-ups include a zombie Lincoln and other packaged fiures.
Scary Little Ugly Guys! That's what the "SLUG" in SLUG Zombies stands for-- and as I was hoping, it won't stop at just the walking dead. The green, flexible, unpainted figures also include Zombie Hunters-- which a Jakks rep confirmed would be in the pinkish color originally used by M.U.S.C.L.E., or would be darned close to it. Figures will be blind-packed, or sold in multi-packs. There's a carry case too with slots and illustrations showing which each one is, and of course you can see pictures of that below.
Figures are a hair taller than other similar figures, standing a hair over 2-inches each. And yes, there is a Zombie Chimp in the mix. I'm not a fan of zombie movies or zombie toys, but I really like these. Multiple series are in the works, including SLUG Aliens and SLUG Monsters, the latter of which I'm so damn excited to hear about that you couldn't possibly imagine.
This retro style line is, if you ask me, just what the toy doctor ordered. Cheaper collectible figures are a good thing, and it's great to see this style come back in a pretty good way. Series 1 is due any time now, and of course online stores like Entertainment Earth are taking pre-orders.
