License renewed! The biggest news to come from Toy Fair for LEGO Star Wars is that there will be lots more of it-- the license has been extended another 10 years, putting it about 5 years past the expiration date for Hasbro's deal with Lucasfilm.
While many new sets from The Old Republic were shown, some of the neatest things had to do with the existing films-- collectible Planets for about $10 each include a minifigure, a vehicle, and a plastic planet. There are six shown so far, and I can only assume more are on the way. Also nifty is Jabba's Palace, a new take on the set that's bigger and a lot more expensive.
If you like vehicles, this line continues to be one of the best thanks to the fact so many parts are reused. Hasbro doesn't have much on deck for The Clone Wars this year, but LEGO has a decent line to support it along with some new figures. Check 'em out!
